Prunus ‘Snow Goose’, also known as Prunus Umineko, is an elegant ornamental cherry tree celebrated for its upright, columnar form and beautiful spring blossom. Growing to around 4–8 metres tall with a narrow spread that usually stays under 3 metres, it makes a great choice for smaller gardens, streets, or confined spaces where a classic cherry blossom look is desired without a sprawling canopy. In April, before the leaves fully emerge, the tree is smothered in large single pure white flowers with distinctive long, tassel-like stamens and contrasting pink centre stamens that can deepen to pink and purple hues as the blooms age, creating a striking visual effect.
