Cupressus Leylandii (Green) 150-175cm

Description

Cupressus Leylandii Green 150-175cm is a vigorous evergreen conifer that makes an excellent choice for gardeners looking to create a substantial privacy screen or tall formal hedge in a relatively short timeframe. These fast-growing trees are among the quickest-establishing conifers available, capable of adding 60-90cm of growth annually once established, making them ideal if you need height and screening quickly.

This specimen stands at an impressive 150-175cm when supplied, giving you an immediate visual impact in the garden. The dense, feathery green foliage is attractive year-round, maintaining its fresh appearance through all seasons. Leylandii trees have a naturally columnar habit, creating a neat, upright form that works well for formal garden designs, boundary screening, or creating a striking focal point as a specimen planting.

Growing Cupressus Leylandii is straightforward, as these trees are remarkably adaptable and unfussy about soil type, tolerating clay, sandy, and chalky soils equally well. They prefer a sunny position and, once established, are very drought tolerant, though regular watering during the first growing season will help them settle in quickly. These conifers thrive in most UK conditions and are reliably hardy throughout Britain.

Maintenance is minimal once your tree is established. A light trim in late summer will encourage denser growth and maintain a neat appearance, though this is optional if you prefer a more natural form. Unlike many fast-growing plants, Leylandii responds well to pruning and can be kept to your desired height and width with occasional cutting. Their vigor means they require little feeding or additional care beyond initial establishment.

At this size, your Cupressus Leylandii is ready to make an immediate impact, whether you’re planning a single statement tree or mass planting for a hedge. It represents excellent value for creating substantial garden structure and privacy without the long wait required by slower-growing alternatives.
