Description
Prunus cerasifera ‘Pissardii Nigra’ is a striking ornamental deciduous tree, commonly known as the purple-leaved plum. It is valued for its dramatic foliage, which emerges as a deep reddish-purple in spring and retains its rich color throughout the growing season. Typically growing to around 5–8 meters in height, it forms a rounded canopy with smooth, dark branches that enhance its visual appeal. In early spring, before the leaves fully develop, the tree produces an abundance of small, pale pink to white blossoms that cover the branches, creating a vivid contrast against the dark stems.
